Chaloklum Beach Koh Phangan

Fishing village with a picturesque beach in a long beautiful sandy bay at the northern tip of the island. Not touristy because of few boats making the trip, and the western part of the bay has some of the most beautiful waters off the island with a nice narrow beach under palm trees, there is also commercial Malibu beach in western end with one of the best sand of the island.

Haad Yao Beaches

Haad Yao is one of the most beautiful beaches on Ko Pha Ngan. The sandy beach stretches over one kilometre from Haad Son through to the headland that shelters the bay.The beach is also very wide, allowing a wide variety of sports and activities.

Get in
From Thong Sala and the ferry terminal the taxi ride is just ten minutes. The fare per person should be 100 baht. The cab drivers will produce a booklet that claims 150 baht is the standard fare. It is not. BARGAIN!

Get around
Walking, renting motorbikes or sharing taxis to Thong Sala, the main port. Twenty five minutes to Haad Rin and the full moon party.

Plaayleam Beach Koh Phangan

Ao Plaay Laem is at the based of Khao Hin Nok, a granite mountain that dominates and tranforms the landscape, making it a fairytale of rounded boulders and hillside views over Ang Thong Marine Park. The bay is very fairly shallow preceding the reef that lies about 80 metres away. Over the reef there are corals and marine life for snorkelling enthusiasts and a few resorts hire kayaks so you can panddle around the huge boulders in the sea.

Haad Khom Koh Phangan

Haad Khom is a top spot if you'd like to stay away from the hordes but still be on a lovely beach and enjoy some of the best hospitality on Ko Pha Ngan. Although quite small, the beach here is beautiful with plentiful shade, squeaky white sand and crystal clear water.

MaeHaad Beach(Koh Ma)

wide sandy beach joined to Koh Ma by a sand spit, which is a National Marine Park with some of the best diving and snorkeling on Koh Pha Ngan there is also a small village and a variety of resorts, restaurants and bars.

Truly excellent snorkelling: you'll need to go over the first, dead reef to see the coral. Make sure you get in and out during high tide as crossing the dead reef when the tide is receding can be difficult and painful. There is a severe litter problem on the sand spit.

Haad Salad Beach Koh Phangan

A beautiful and secluded beach known by the Thai’s as an old place for pirates who came here to hide out until their ships were full of booty until moving off to trade. In the high tidal season of Nov to Apr Haad Salad provides good swimming and a reef of 150 metres just offshore.

Chaloklum Beach

The beach on Ao Chaloklum is about two and a half kilometres long, with the main village of Chaloklum right in the centre. As the place is still primarily a fishing village, the fishing trade dominates the mid-section of the beach where the village is located. This is where the local fishermen keep their longtail boats, and the image of all the wonderfully colourful handcrafted boats with their 100 BHP truck engines on the back is a great view to take in while eating in the local restaurants there.

Seethanu is the rocky peninsula that lies between Hin Kong and Sri Thanu. It extends way out from the coast and the small beaches that populate its coastline are closer to the coral reef, leading to virtually year round swimming. It's also a good spot for beach fishing.

Haad Son Beach Koh Phangan

It has a beautiful private beach which you can snorkel right off, had a great restaurant with delicious and trustworthy food. The restaurant had a concrete island on the water with hammocks and tables which was gorgeous at sunset and we had a great time jumping off into the water. They also had a large selection of delicious cocktails at great prices.
